Fuel Enhancement System
Installation Instructions
Unpack your system, and you should have the following items.
The items are as follows:
Electrolyzer
4 feet of hose with a barbed adapter
2 sections of wire, a 6 ft and 2 ft piece
1 section of 4 pipe
Two 14 Zip cord ties
Step 1:
Find a location under your hood where you can mount the section of 4 PVC Pipe upright. You want a location that is easily accessible and as far away from the heat of the engine as possible. It will hold your electrolyzer, making it easy to check on your system and do maintenance. Fasten the pipe in the chosen location using the enclosed zip ties. Finally, drop the electrolyzer in and make sure it has plenty of clearance when the hood is closed.
Step 2:
Connect one end of the vacuum hose to the barbed connector on top of the electrolyzer. Then take the loose barbed connector enclosed in the kit and install it in the air intake as close to the engine as possible. Here is an example of one installed on a 2004 Chevrolet.
You can use a 3/8 drill bit to drill a hole into the plastic and the barbed fitting will screw right into the hole. After screwing in the barbed adapter, connect it to the other end of the hose. The hose should be kept away from any moving parts and can be secured using zip ties, electrical tape, or other securing devices.
Step 3:
Unscrew the two wing nuts off the top of the electrolyzer and connect the two enclosed pieces of wire using the O Ring connectors already attached. The shorter wire should be run to a good ground location under the hood such as a bolt or screw that makes a good connection to the auto body. The longer wire should be run to a hot connection under the hood.
One way is to find a fuse in the fuse box that is only hot when the truck is switched on. Pull this fuse out. Strip about a half inch off the end of the long wire and wrap it around one leg of the fuse. Insert the fuse back into the fuse box.
The Second method is to use one of the wires going to the alternator. Again, find a wire that is only hot while the truck is switched on. You can then use a wire splice to splice this wire to the long wire leading back to the electrolyzer. Here is an example of an easy to use wire splice. You just put both wires in, and when you close it, metal cuts through the insulation and makes a connection.
Step 4:
Unscrew the cap off the electrolyzer and, using distilled water, fill it with water to the highest line on the side of the mason jar. (About 1 inch from the top of the jar.) Add in about a teaspoon of baking soda. Screw the cap back on and make sure all the connections are good and tight. Start your vehicle and you should immediately start to see bubbles start to form on the electrodes in the jar. After 5 minutes, you should be able to pinch the hose running to the engine and notice the water start to back up through the tubing in the jar and come out the brass fitting on top. This lets you know that your jar is working correctly and has no leaks.

You are now ready to save gas.
Upkeep and Maintenance
Check your water level in the jar periodically. We recommend that you refill the jar when it has half the water remaining. The water should last 900 miles or more before needing refilling. One suggested method for easy refilling is to buy a gallon of distilled water and go ahead and add 4 teaspoons of baking soda and shake it up. Then this can be stored in your vehicle and you can easily refill the jar when it gets low. Also, the jar should be cleaned about 2-3 times a year. Just remove the lid, and using a small brush (toothbrushes work well), clean off the electrodes. Then reassemble the jar and you are done.
