ADJUSTMENT OF THE PRESSURE REGULATOR
1. The Pressure Reducer is the first component to be adjusted in the LPG system.
The procedure of adjustment is defined here below,
both for carbureted or injected engines.
2. Start engine with the gasoline fuel and warm up regularly.
3. Change then to LPG fuel
4. Verify that the sensitivity adjustment screw be completely turned clockwise
5. Adjust the engine idle level by means of the Idle adjusting screw
Vehicles with the carbureted engine
1. Unscrew (Open) completely the maximum flow capacity adjustment element
( this is normally on the gas pipe from the Pressure Reducer to the Mixer),
then accelerate to about 3000 rpm.
2. Screw in (Close) this adjustment until a reduction of the engine speed is noted
3. Unscrew (Open) again this adjustment until the previous engine speed of 3000 rpm is reached
4. Decelerate to the idle level and if necessary,
correct again by means of the idle adjusting screw
Final verifications
1. Perform a road testing of the vehicle, verifying the correct operation of the Reducer
2. If during the test anomalies of the engine running
in case of sharp breaking or turns are noticed,
adjust the carburetion by means of the 2 adjusting screws of the Reducer as follows
3. Screw in (Close) the idle adjusting screw to reduce the engine speed by 100 150 rpm
4. Set the optimum idle level by means of the sensitivity adjustment screw
