On the April 1. 2006 at 21 hr 30 mins at Garibaldi, Rio Grande do Sul
Brazil, explosion occurred at the gas station killing air condition technician ,
Ademir de Mello, 29 years old who is the owner of the illegal car
De Mello was trying to show the car off to a potential buyer, Paulo Maleski, 43
years old who was in the passenger seat. He did not get hurt.
He did not know that the car has LPG ( liquid petroleum gas tank alias kitchen use) hidden inside.
According to the police, the criminal had installed connecting tube between the NGV tanks with the hidden Kitchen tank.
Leandro Cettolin, 33 anos, working at the gas station was also hurt from the accident while filling the tank. He checked the registro of INMETRO do cylinders and noticed it
Has expired and there was a hidden second tank as he was filling the car.
Suddenly , Mr. De Mello got out of the car to go to the trunk of the car trying to shut off the connection when the explosion occurred .
According to eye witness, there was no fire. Just air.
Mello was thrown up 20 meters high in the air and then hit the wall.
