A group of vehicle owners using liguefied petroleum gas (LPG) rallied at the Government House, demanding the government not to raise the price of the cooking gas.
The rally was joined by about 30 people.
The group's representative Samart Suppoj said that the raising of the LPG price would impact a large number of consumers, so his group would like to government to consider the issue carefully.
The demonstration came after the Energy Policy and Planning Office pushed to raise the LPG prices for transport and industrial users by 12% or 1.5 to 2 baht per kilogramme, where the retail price reflects the market price.
But households using LPG for cooking will be unaffected as the government is keeping the subsidy for consumers.
